Exa is building a next-generation AI search engine, and we're seeking a GTM Recruiter to scale the company from our San Francisco team. You'll recruit for GTM and technical roles, partner directly with founders and leadership, and design scalable recruiting systems powered by in-house AI tools. This in-person role requires strong storytelling, familiarity with the SF startup scene, and the ability to work at hyperspeed as we grow.
Qualification
- 2+ years of experience recruiting for GTM or technical roles in startups or high-growth tech companies
- Familiarity with SF startup culture; ability to identify and attract top 1% startup talent
- Strong communication skills; ability to tell a compelling story and sell a big vision
- Technical literacy; bonus if you can code or have a technical background; ability to communicate engineering projects to semi-technical candidates (at Exa, everyone codes)
- Builder mindset; passion for designing recruiting systems, not just running them
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, high-growth startup environment
- This is an in-person opportunity in San Francisco; sponsorship available for international candidates (e.g., STEM OPT, OPT, H1B, O1, E3)
Responsibility
- Own the GTM recruiting cycle end-to-end: sourcing, outreach, interviews, and closing
- Represent Exa externally to attract top-tier account executives, marketers, and business development professionals
- Partner with founders and team leads to scope roles and identify high-leverage hires
- Build and optimize recruiting systems and workflows using Exa’s in-house agentic search tools
- Experiment with creative sourcing strategies to stand out in the competitive SF startup market
- Help shape Exa’s talent brand and recruiting culture as we scale hyperspeed (1.5x+ headcount growth each quarter)
- Maintain a positive candidate experience and nurture a strong candidate pipeline for rapid growth
