Fender Musical Instruments Corporation is seeking a Sales Director based in Shanghai to drive sales strategy for the Greater China region, including China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The role involves developing sales plans, managing distributor relationships, and ensuring effective communication with internal teams to maximize business opportunities.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the musical instruments or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of the Greater China market dynamics and distributor management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with distributors and internal teams.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop actionable insights for business growth.
  • Experience in developing and executing sales strategies and plans.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the Greater China region.

Responsibility

  • Develop and understand the sales strategy with the China team to fulfill the overall business strategy for the region.
  • Maintain effective account and credit management for distributors in the Greater China area through regular communication.
  • Manage the end-to-end relationship between Greater China distributors and all internal departments.
  • Work with Greater China distributors to place future dated orders and provide accurate sales forecasts.
  • Monitor and assist Greater China distributors on sales promotions and rebate schemes, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Maintain control of Greater China distributors' inventory and manage product presentations and exit strategies for discontinued products.
  • Develop direct relationships with mainland China dealers to gather feedback on business, products, and market trends.
  • Develop workflow and communication strategies with marketing and e-commerce teams to align on brand messaging and overall strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to bring new players into the market to build a long-term business pipeline in Greater China.
  • Establish and generate sales reporting and analytics on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
