The role involves leading in-house accounting, ensuring compliance with local tax and accounting regulations, and preparing financial statements. Glovo is a rapidly growing multi-category app that connects users with businesses and couriers, operating in over 1500 cities across 23 countries.
Qualification
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Experience with financial reporting and auditing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills in English and local language.
Responsibility
- Maintain the company's accounting books according to statutory regulations.
- Conduct general audits of all accounting ledgers regularly.
- Ensure compliance with local tax and accounting requirements.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for submission to the Group.
- Assist in preparing reconciliations and executing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Handle tax accounting in accordance with tax legislation.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and tax declarations.
- Minimize tax exposure through proper reflection of tax-deductible expenses.
- Ensure VAT accounts reflect the prevailing business nature.
- Follow changes in company policy, tax regulations, and legislation.
