They are expanding operations with a new facility in Mesa, Arizona, and are seeking a Process Engineer specializing in casting to join their Scoping & Special Projects team. This role involves analyzing complex customer requirements and designing scalable factory cell solutions.
Qualification
- Deep expertise in casting processes, particularly sand and investment casting.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in analyzing BOMs and CAD models.
- Proficiency in developing cycle-time models and process flows.
- Ability to translate technical requirements into operational plans.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration within manufacturing environments.
Responsibility
- Analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs), CAD models, and technical drawings to classify casting parts by process complexity, alloy type, size, and risk.
- Develop first-principles cycle-time models using simulation data, standard routings, and historical performance metrics.
- Define and document end-to-end casting process flows, including melt preparation, mold/core fabrication, pouring, and post-processing.
- Translate technical scoping outputs into capital and operational requirements for factory implementation (equipment, staffing, takt planning).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with quality and inspection teams to ensure compliance and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
