HitPay is a unified commerce and payments platform that helps businesses accept payments online and in-store—cards, local payment methods, e-wallets, BNPL, payment links, and integrations (e.g., Shopify / WooCommerce / Wix). We work with fast-growing SMBs across APAC to help them increase conversion, reduce payment friction, and operate more efficiently.
Role Summary
We're hiring territory-based sales owners to drive merchant acquisition and growth across key regions in Malaysia. You will own your territory end-to-end: building pipeline, pitching HitPay, closing merchants, and ensuring a smooth activation journey in partnership with internal onboarding/support teams.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable both in the field (merchant visits, walk-ins, local networking) and inside sales (calls, WhatsApp follow-ups, remote demos).

- North Malaysia (Penang & Kedah)
- East Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak) (travel required within East Malaysia)
What You'll Do
- Own merchant acquisition in your territory: prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close.
- Build a steady pipeline of SMBs across key verticals (retail, F&B, services, e-commerce, multi-outlet businesses).
- Sell HitPay's solutions including:
- Online payments (cards + local payment methods + BNPL)
- Payment links for fast collection
- E-commerce integrations (Shopify / WooCommerce / Wix and more)
- In-person acceptance (where relevant)
- Run discovery calls/meetings and recommend the right setup based on merchant needs.
- Work closely with onboarding/compliance/support teams to drive fast activation and first transaction.
- Create local lead engines (referrals, merchant clusters, communities, web agencies/accountants/SME enablers) as a source of leads—this is not a dedicated partnerships role.
- Maintain accurate CRM updates and provide weekly visibility on pipeline, forecast, and on-ground insights.

- Early retention of newly onboarded merchants (reducing early churn)
What We're Looking for
- 2–7+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience (payments/fintech/POS/SaaS/telco/logistics are all relevant).
- Strong prospecting ability and consistent closing track record with SMBs.
- Comfortable with field sales (merchant visits) and high follow-up intensity (calls/WhatsApp).
- Able to work independently with strong territory planning (prioritization, routing, segmentation).
- Good understanding of payments and/or e-commerce workflows (checkout, gateways, QR/bank methods, terminals).
- Bahasa Malaysia + English required. (Mandarin and local dialects are a plus depending on territory.)
Nice to Have
- Experience selling payment gateways, POS terminals, e-commerce plugins, or merchant acquiring.
- Existing SMB network in your assigned region.
- Familiarity with Shopify/WooCommerce/Wix merchants and agency ecosystems.
