The Embedded Software Engineer role involves developing software for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) R&D programs, engaging in the full engineering design cycle, and ensuring successful deployment of autonomous systems.
Qualification
- Strong background in software development for embedded systems
- Experience with multi-disciplinary projects involving mechanical, electrical, systems, and software engineering
- Ability to decompose complex problems into constituent components
- Capability to devise plans for executing each piece of a problem
- Experience in solution development, testing, and verification
Responsibility
- Develop firmware/software for embedded components in support of small UAS and UAVs
- Develop, implement, validate, and sustain Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) software for autonomous vehicles
- Develop and support automated Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) testing architecture to exercise all components
- Support flight testing of UAS and UAVs, including setup, system checkouts, ground station support, log retrieval and analysis, and debugging.
