Obviant is seeking a hands-on UI/UX Designer to lead the design efforts for their innovative data solutions in the defense sector. As the first design hire, you will define the user experience strategy and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create intuitive and engaging products. Qualification
- Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing design work.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate design concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with usability testing and user research techniques.
- Knowledge of design systems and best practices for scalable design.
Responsibility
- Define and lead the UX and UI strategy for the organization, setting design vision and best practices.
- Own end-to-end product design, including discovery, user research, rapid prototyping, wireframes, visual design, and developer hand-off.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate user needs and business goals into seamless experiences.
- Generate and iterate on multiple design concepts to solve complex problems and inform product direction.
- Create high-fidelity, production-ready UI and design assets for web-based and/or mobile applications.
- Establish and contribute to a scalable design system and patterns library for consistency across products.
- Develop user journeys, interaction models, info architecture, and usability testing processes.
- Champion a user-centered, data-informed design philosophy, leveraging user research and feedback.
