Orbital is seeking a Quality Manager to establish and lead the quality department for innovative data center products, including advanced cooling systems. The role involves building a team, developing quality management systems, and ensuring product reliability and compliance. Orbital focuses on integrating AI with material science to address global technology challenges.
Qualification
- Proven experience in quality management within manufacturing environments, preferably in hardware or technology sectors.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems (QMS).
- Experience with advanced product quality planning (APQP) and failure mode effects analysis (FMEA).
- Ability to conduct technical and commercial audits of suppliers and manufacturers.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to build and manage a quality team.
Responsibility
- Source and qualify contract manufacturers and key suppliers through technical and commercial audits.
- Define critical to quality (CTQ) and critical to process (CTP) metrics, and oversee advanced product quality planning (APQP) at contract manufacturers.
- Establish supplier quality agreements and documentation, including traceability schema and inspection/test instructions.
- Implement supplier performance management through scorecards and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
- Define factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) criteria for contract manufacturer builds.
