Redwood Materials is seeking a Staff High Voltage Electrical Engineer to join their EPC team, focusing on the design of high voltage electrical infrastructure to support sustainable battery recycling and production. The role involves leading the design of high voltage AC electrical systems and improving existing substation designs.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in high voltage electrical engineering, particularly in industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and standards for high voltage systems.
- Experience with substation design and integration with transmission and distribution systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Responsibility
- Lead the design of high voltage AC electrical systems for industrial substations (69kV to 345kV) and their integration with upstream transmission lines and downstream MV distribution.
- Review and evaluate the design of existing substations to provide recommendations for improving reliability and stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of electrical systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies and prepare technical reports on high voltage electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in the design and implementation of electrical systems.
