Qualification
- 2+ years of experience in a fabrication, machine-shop, or maintenance role.
- Proficiency with common hand and power tools; ability to read mechanical drawings.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders or lifts.
- Experience with CNC mill/router operation and CAM programming (Fusion 360 or similar).
- MIG/TIG welding experience and forklift or MEWP certification.
Responsibility
- Drive shop organization through 5S, labeling/storage systems, and consumables inventory management.
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on CNC mills, printers, welders, air systems, and hand tools.
- Fabricate parts, jigs, and fixtures from metal, plastic, or composites according to engineering drawings using machining, welding, or 3-D printing techniques.
- Handle materials by receiving, cutting, kitting, and staging raw stock; operate forklift and scissor-lift as needed.
- Build new tooling and workflows while identifying design or manufacturability issues to communicate with engineers.
