Relativity Space is seeking a Senior Turbomachinery Engineer to join their propulsion team, responsible for developing engines for the Terran R vehicle. The role involves designing and iterating on turbopump assemblies for the Aeon-R engine, contributing to the first launch scheduled for 2026.
Qualification
- Experience in turbomachinery design and analysis.
- Strong background in propulsion systems and engine development.
- Familiarity with fluid dynamics and thermodynamics principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with CAD software and engineering analysis tools.
Responsibility
- Develop assemblies for fuel and oxidizer turbopumps of the Aeon-R engine family.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, test, launch, and integration teams.
- Support the full product lifecycle of the Aeon-R engine systems.
- Iterate on designs to meet performance and reliability requirements.
- Contribute to the successful development and launch of the Terran R vehicle.
