Qualification
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- Designed, built, and maintained production services at scale with reliable systems
- Ability to write high-quality, reliable code and own the systems you work on
- Experience solving ambiguous problems and delivering practical solutions
- Solid understanding of web security fundamentals
- Experience with React and Postgres; familiarity with Elixir is a plus and Kubernetes experience is a plus
- Interest in fintech/Bitcoin and the River mission
Responsibility
- Architect and develop new features in the React + Elixir codebase powering our web applications and API
- Collaborate with product management to plan and scope initiatives
- Write high-quality, well-tested code
- Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship
- Ensure production readiness, reliability, and performance for scale
- Contribute to system design and architectural decisions
- Help shape the engineering culture and processes for the organization
- Support deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence (CI/CD, observability)
