Superpower
đź’Ľ Type: Full-time
📍 Location: SF Preferred. Remote (US) for rare exceptions
About Superpower
We're on a mission to build a new health care system that extends and enhances human life. Superpower will build a new health system that is preventative, personalized, and performance-enhancing — bringing the best of health into one place.
93% of our members say we're better than their doctor or life-changing and 60% discover something their doctor missed.
About the Role
You'll shape the core product experience that hundreds of thousands of members use to understand and improve their health. This means designing interfaces that make complex biomarker data intuitive, clinical workflows seamless, and health actions effortless. You'll work across the full stack of product design — from strategy and systems to pixel-level craft.
At Superpower, we believe the best design is deletion. Fewer screens, fewer clicks, fewer words. You'll be the person who fights for simplicity in a domain that is inherently complex.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end design for core product surfaces — from problem definition through shipped pixels
- Design systems-level solutions: build and evolve our design system so the product scales with coherence
- Partner with engineering, clinical, data science, and growth to define what we build and why
- Translate complex health data into interfaces that are clear, actionable, and emotionally resonant
- Prototype rapidly — we ship fast and learn from real usage, not decks
- Advocate for the member experience in every decision. We start with the ideal experience, then work backward
- Contribute to product strategy — designers at Superpower don't just execute, they define direction
- Raise the bar for craft across the team through feedback, critique, and example
What You Bring
- 6-8+ years designing digital products — ideally consumer-first, health, or AI
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong interaction design, visual design, and systems thinking
- Experience building or contributing to design systems at scale
- Ability to navigate ambiguity — you can define the problem, not just solve a well-scoped brief
- Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools. Comfort working alongside engineers in code
- Deep care for usability, accessibility, and inclusive design
- Strong written and verbal communication — you can articulate design rationale to anyone in the company
- Speed with taste. You can ship high-quality work on startup timelines without cutting corners that matter
- Radical open-mindedness: you fight for the best ideas, not your ideas
Nice to Have
- Experience with health products
- Front-end development skills (React, Swift, or similar)
- Data visualization or information design experience
- Familiarity with AI-driven product experiences
Why Superpower
- Mission that matters: we catch diseases before they start and change people's lives
- Radical empowerment: no layers of approval, no waiting for permission if you see a problem we reward people that solve them
- A-players only: small team of exceptional people who actually do the work
- Founder mode: everyone is an IC here, including leadership. We don't delegate, we build
- Competitive compensation with equity in a company at the frontier of health and AI
