Waymo is seeking an EHS Regional Manager for its EMEA operations to develop and implement a comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management system. The role involves ensuring compliance with EHS regulations, managing safety for employees and vendors, and driving continuous improvement in safety practices.
Qualification
- Experience in developing and implementing EHS management systems.
- Strong knowledge of local, national, and regional EHS laws and regulations.
- Proven ability to manage EHS in a diverse workforce including employees and third-party vendors.
- Experience in conducting EHS risk assessments and implementing safety controls.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders.
Responsibility
- Develop and implement a comprehensive EHS management system for Waymo's EMEA operations based on Global EHS Standards.
- Ensure full compliance with local, national, and regional EHS laws and regulations by tracking regulatory changes and maintaining the EHS legal register.
- Manage EHS for a workforce of employees and third-party vendors, conducting assurance activities and overseeing safe work practices.
- Provide EHS support for operating partners, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and internal safety standards through training and collaboration.
- Conduct EHS risk assessments for all work activities, identifying opportunities to implement improved controls to mitigate hazards.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by developing and monitoring key EHS performance indicators (KPIs).
