The role involves developing modular architecture improvements, optimizing compute usage, and collaborating with hardware teams to ensure high performance and reliability in complex driving environments.
Qualification
- Experience in software development for performance optimization
- Strong understanding of compute resources (CPU/GPU/TPU/RAM)
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Experience in high-scale performance evaluation and debugging
- Knowledge of modular architecture design and implementation
Responsibility
- Develop ADV's modular architecture improvements and frameworks that maximize performance and compute utilization and ROI for driving quality
- Evolve compute usage on the car and simulation to enable continued scaling
- Collaborate with onboard teams to identify and improve compute performance bottlenecks
- Work with hardware teams to codesign hardware/software and optimize software for performance
- Ensure strong performance in complex driving environments and rare events
- Achieve state of the art reaction latency for collision avoidance
- Develop high scale performance evaluation, debugging, and software change management processes
- Optimize system resource usage for simulation at scale in Cloud datacenters
