Waymo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Car Experience team, focusing on backend development and machine learning data pipelines to enhance rider experiences in autonomous vehicles. The role involves collaboration with various teams and leveraging Google Cloud capabilities.
Qualification
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years experience working with backend technologies (e.g. C++, Spanner)
- Experience in Python and/or C++
- Strong written and verbal communications
Responsibility
- Guide all technical aspects of development, including technical requirements definition, design, implementation, unit testing, and integration
- Prompt Engineering to train LLM models on Waymo use cases
- Apply multimedia ML techniques like image recognition and video analysis
- Build ML data pipelines to understand model Precision and Recall
- Design, build, and productionize AI solutions using Google Cloud capabilities and state-of-the-art ML approaches
- Work cross-functionally with teams such as Operations and Remote Assistance
