Software Engineer, Insights at Sierra, a San Francisco–based AI platform company. You'll join a ~40-person engineering team to build production systems for analytics, experimentation, AI-powered data exploration, and monitoring that drive customer outcomes and agent performance.
Qualification
- 4+ years of hands-on experience building production software and systems.
- Experience building and shipping full-stack solutions (frontend and backend).
- Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong interest in being at the frontier of AI products and customer-focused outcomes.
- High motivation and autonomy with a track record of delivering impact in autonomous teams.
- Ability to align with company values, balancing craftsmanship, customer obsession, and competitive intensity.
Responsibility
- Build and scale systems to analyze and visualize millions of data points on agent performance, delivering actionable insights and dashboards.
- Enable agent developers to run A/B tests and experiment with agent behavior to drive data-informed decisions.
- Develop Explorer-like tooling for AI-powered clustering and exploration over conversational data.
- Create monitoring and observability systems to proactively detect defects or emerging patterns in agents and workflows.
- Collaborate in small autonomous teams to ship end-to-end production features, from data ingestion to UI.
- Improve data pipelines, instrumentation, and reliability to support scalable analytics.
