Qualification
- Proven experience designing software products with the ability to work across design, product management, and engineering teams.
- Demonstrated ability to own projects end-to-end and collaborate effectively with PMs and engineers.
- Experience building or maintaining design systems and component libraries.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence decisions and align multiple stakeholders.
- Comfort operating in a fast-growing startup environment with ambiguity and an autonomous, low-meeting culture.
- A portfolio or case studies showcasing design work and contributions to design systems.
- Proactive, intrinsically motivated, self-directed work style with a bias for action.
- Familiarity with user-centered design processes and iterative prototyping.
Responsibility
- Contribute to rethinking how modern software is designed across product areas with cross functional teams.
- Operate as a hybrid contributor in roles such as designer, product manager, consultant, and design systems manager (or any combination).
- Design, build, and maintain the design system and component libraries to enable consistent product delivery.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to shape requirements, define success metrics, and drive decisions with clear rationale and documentation.
- Own projects end-to-end when appropriate, including providing updates and guiding resource planning.
- Influence product direction by advocating principled, user-centered, scalable design decisions.
- Enable the broader product team to make better design decisions through guidance, documentation, and hands-on collaboration.
- Thrive in a near seed stage culture with high autonomy and minimal meetings, focusing on IC work and impactful contributions.
