Chewy is seeking an Associate Director of Environmental Health and Safety to lead the development of its International EHS program and ensure compliance with safety regulations across its Fulfillment Core and Corporate teams. The role involves creating safety standards, managing HAZMAT compliance, and coordinating safety programs for new launches and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS leadership and experience in environmental and construction safety.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Safety Management, or Environmental Sciences.
- Experience in leading EHS programs and compliance initiatives.
- Strong background in HAZMAT and environmental safety.
- Experience in construction and design safety management.
- Ability to work autonomously and build relationships with regulatory agencies.
Responsibility
- Develop and own EHS standards, programs, and policies for Chewy Fulfillment Core & Corporate teams.
- Develop and own international EHS standards for future expansion.
- Lead a comprehensive environmental program.
- Manage design, engineering, construction, new launch, and change management safety programs.
- Implement best practices to reduce hazards and improve safety.
- Continuously improve EHS programs and metrics for safety and environmental performance.
- Develop data-driven initiatives supporting Chewy’s strategies.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations to align safety strategies with company vision.
