Chewy is looking for a Senior Construction Owner's Representative to manage high-impact construction projects across fulfillment centers, corporate offices, and pharmacy spaces. The role involves project delivery management, coordination with internal and external partners, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
Qualification
- Proven experience in construction project management or as an Owner’s Representative.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with diverse teams.
- Ability to navigate complex project challenges and make informed decisions.
- Experience in budget management and contract negotiation.
Responsibility
- Own and drive end-to-end project delivery including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and closeout.
- Coordinate with internal collaborators and external partners to meet project goals.
- Resolve complex construction challenges involving cost, safety, quality, and timeline tradeoffs.
- Navigate through ambiguity to improve construction methodologies, processes, and systems.
- Act as Owners Representative to manage contractors on-site performance and safety policies.
- Transition projects from external partners to internal Launch teams.
- Ensure contracted resources deliver work per contract terms and manage under-performance issues.
- Identify and resolve clashes, design misses, and schedule conflicts with other execution teams.
- Comprehensive budget tracking, forecasting, and management of assigned projects.
- Evaluate appropriate procurement and contracting methods for specific projects.
- Own contract negotiation and management for all third party consultants and contractors.
