Chewy is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their Commercial Finance team, focusing on Cost of Payments. The role involves collaborating with various teams to analyze payment costs and develop financial models to support decision-making.
Qualification
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Management.
- 2-3 years relevant finance experience with understanding of GAAP and financial statements.
- Financial analysis and modeling skills, experience in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
- Ability to think creatively, work independently, and manage changing workloads.
- Proactive mindset with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with SQL coding.
Responsibility
- Act as the primary finance partner for Chewy’s Cost of Payments, providing insights into mix, rate, and volume trends.
- Collaborate with business and analytics teams to understand underlying drivers of cost and support data-driven decision making.
- Develop financial models, trackers, and reporting templates from scratch for performance reviews.
- Partner with analytics and data engineering teams to design data tables for automated reporting of payment cost metrics.
- Support financial modeling of new investment opportunities and analyze existing initiatives.
- Work cross-functionally with finance, product, and accounting teams to understand cost of payments.
- Participate in strategic planning, target setting, and annual planning processes.
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
