Databricks is seeking a qualified Attorney to join its commercial legal team as the first attorney focused on the Latin America region. This hybrid role involves negotiating various legal agreements and providing legal support to the commercial business while ensuring compliance with data privacy and regulatory requirements.
Qualification
- Minimum of four (4) years of technology transactions experience, either at a law firm or in-house Attorney role.
- Fluency in Portuguese and Spanish; native speakers preferred.
- Relevant commercial transactional experience with cloud-based software companies.
- Experience negotiating complex SaaS commercial transactions.
- Strong knowledge of data privacy, information security, and intellectual property issues.
Responsibility
- Negotiate, draft, and close Master Cloud Services Agreements (MCSAs) with LatAM prospects and customers.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive revenue-generating transactions while mitigating risks.
- Maintain and update legal agreements to support rapid revenue growth and long-term stability.
- Provide pragmatic legal counsel to internal clients and customers based on local and regional requirements.
- Support company OKRs, strategic initiatives, and special projects across the legal team.
