The role involves navigating public sector transactions, ensuring compliance with procurement rules, and advising on legal matters in the cloud and AI landscape. This position offers an opportunity to influence Databricks' international public sector strategy.
Qualification
- Law degree and qualified to practice in at least one jurisdiction in the EU.
- 10+ years of legal experience focusing on public sector transactions and government contracting.
- Deep understanding of international procurement frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Experience with data protection and cybersecurity regulations.
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills for complex agreements.
Responsibility
- Lead the negotiation and drafting of customer agreements and transactions with government institutions.
- Advise on procurement rules and regulations impacting public sector sales.
- Guide compliance with international data privacy and cybersecurity regulations.
- Coordinate with policy and compliance teams to monitor changes in international laws affecting cloud and AI adoption.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enable successful market entry and execution across jurisdictions.
- Support bid protests, contract disputes, and other public sector legal matters.
