The Sr. Solutions Architect at Databricks will collaborate with customers to design scalable data architectures using Databricks technology. This role requires technical expertise and business acumen to drive discussions that highlight the value of the Databricks platform throughout the sales lifecycle. The architect will work closely with Account Executives and customer technical leads to establish trust and achieve measurable outcomes, while also representing customer needs to internal teams.
Qualification
- 8+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role.
- Expertise in big data engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes (e.g., SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS).
- Knowledge of data science and machine learning tools (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn).
- Fluency in SQL and database technology.
Responsibility
- Develop account strategies to increase platform usage for assigned accounts.
- Establish Databricks Lakehouse architecture as the standard for customer data architecture.
- Build and present reference architectures and demo applications to prospects.
- Consult on big data architectures, data engineering pipelines, and data science/machine learning projects.
- Promote Databricks-inspired open-source projects across developer communities.
