They are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to lead US commercial contracting, focusing on enterprise SaaS agreements, particularly in the financial sector, while also ensuring compliance with privacy and security regulations.
Qualification
- Proven experience in negotiating enterprise SaaS agreements, particularly in the financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of US privacy laws, including CCPA/CPRA.
- Experience in creating and maintaining legal playbooks and clause libraries.
- Ability to make principled risk calls and provide responsive legal support across time zones.
- Excellent communication skills to train and partner with cross-functional teams.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end negotiation of complex enterprise SaaS agreements, focusing on banks and financial services.
- Make business-savvy risk trade-offs to unblock revenue quickly.
- Reduce outside counsel spend and cycle time by providing responsive legal coverage across US time zones.
- Create, localize, and maintain AMER-specific playbooks and clause libraries.
- Partner with legal ops to standardize templates and automate workflows.
- Train go-to-market teams on legal positions and escalation paths.
- Advise on US privacy/marketing laws and align with SOC 2 buyer expectations.
- Counsel Product on AI-powered features and operationalize international data transfer mechanisms.
