The role involves building relationships with defense tech startups, government contractors, and investors, managing the sales process, and collaborating with marketing and engineering teams. The company focuses on providing AI tools and a cohesive data source for defense acquisition, aiming to improve decision-making in the sector.
Qualification
- 4+ years of sales experience in the federal space.
- Detailed knowledge of the defense acquisition process and related challenges.
- Ability to communicate how disparate pain points can be addressed through insights and actionability.
- Excellent communication skills and a relationship-building style rooted in authenticity.
- Demonstrated results exceeding revenue targets or comparable objectives.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage a sales pipeline and reporting.
- Experience managing CRM tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with high autonomy and accountability.
Responsibility
- Build relationships with companies selling into defense and understand their challenges.
- Generate top-of-funnel activity to increase pipeline growth and manage opportunities through close.
- Attend industry events and travel to key conferences.
- Conduct research to identify potential customers, market opportunities, and trends.
- Work with marketing to generate content based on observed trends and topics of interest.
- Identify and drive opportunities to expand existing customer relationships.
- Develop partnerships and channel relationships.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to inform the roadmap.
