Peloton is seeking a Director of Product Safety to lead its legal strategy regarding product safety for hardware and software products. This role involves collaboration with various teams and senior management to ensure compliance and safety throughout the product lifecycle, while also managing legal and regulatory matters. The position is based in Peloton's New York headquarters.
Qualification
- Deep subject matter and regulatory expertise, preferably with prior CPSC experience.
- Strong business judgment and ability to provide actionable advice in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand Peloton’s business and products.
- Experience in managing legal and compliance matters related to product safety.
- Strong leadership skills to oversee safety governance processes and integrate safety-by-design principles.
Responsibility
- Manage and evolve the global product safety legal function, overseeing all related legal and compliance matters.
- Serve as the key legal strategist and advisor to Peloton’s C-suite on product safety issues and regulatory engagement.
- Act as a senior strategic partner to leaders in Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Safety & Compliance functions.
- Implement and scale policies, procedures, and training programs for global product safety compliance.
- Direct the legal response to post-market safety escalations, including incident investigations and corrective actions.
