Analytics Manager, CBS (Payments and Identity) at Scribd. Lead analytics strategy for payments and identity, shaping metrics, dashboards, and data models across the full lifecycle (authorization, settlement, retries, and subscription billing) and identity flows (account creation, login) to optimize revenue, user experience, and risk.

Qualification

  • 5+ years in analytics roles with a track record of measurable business impact, preferably in payments, fintech, or digital identity.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills; experience building and maintaining data warehouses and dimensional models.
  • Proficiency with data visualization and BI tools (Power BI and/or Tableau); ability to present complex insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Python (pandas) or similar languages for data analysis and automation; familiarity with data pipelines and ETL concepts.
  • Deep knowledge of online payments lifecycle (authorization, settlement, retries) and subscription economics, plus login/authentication flows and identity risk.
  • Exposure to fraud detection, risk scoring, and compliance considerations (privacy, GDPR); ability to translate regulatory requirements into analytics work.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management; prior people leadership or project management experience.
  • Comfort with cloud-based data platforms and data warehousing concepts; practical understanding of data governance and security best practices.

Responsibility

  • Define and own the analytics strategy for Payments and Identity, establishing metrics, instrumentation, and data models across the payments lifecycle and identity flows.
  • Partner with product, engineering, security, and business teams to design measurement plans, instrument events, and build scalable data pipelines and data products.
  • Build and maintain self-serve analytics capabilities (dashboards and reports) using Power BI and Tableau; enable cross-functional access to insights.
  • Conduct advanced analyses (funnel, cohort, churn, LTV, forecasting) and run experiments (A/B tests) to improve billing outcomes, activation, retention, and identity risk.
  • Monitor fraud, chargebacks, and identity verification processes; collaborate with Security and Compliance to ensure privacy, security, and GDPR adherence.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop analytics team members; manage stakeholder expectations and drive cross-functional analytics projects to timely completion.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, lineage, and privacy-by-design practices across data sources and analytics initiatives.
  • Drive data productization and scalable data architectures, collaborating with data engineers and platform teams to support long-term reliability and performance.
