Stripe is seeking a Legal Entity Controller to join their International Accounting Stripe Delivery Center team. The role involves managing month-end accounting processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and preparing statutory financial statements. The ideal candidate will have extensive accounting experience and a strong background in finance, contributing to Stripe's mission of enhancing internet business operations.
Qualification
- Accountancy qualification (e.g CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 8+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven experience in the monthly close process, journal preparation and posting, audit
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Responsibility
- Perform month end accounting processes to support rapid global growth
- Work in financial close and analysis, audit and regulatory compliance, and reporting
- Own the Statutory Financial Statement preparation, Audit, review and sign off
- Ensure compliance and filing requirements are met timely and accurately with local service providers
- Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, Accounting, and other groups to ensure compliance with US GAAP and local GAAPs
- Perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare flux analysis and commentary on movements and trends
- Streamline processes and take ownership of problem-solving
