Interior Designer II at CannonDesign, working within a multidisciplinary team to support design and technical leadership across all project phases. Responsibilities include documentation, 3D studies, renderings, FF&E, client interaction, site visits, and mentoring, while adhering to CannonDesign drawing standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or relevant field.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
- Ability to develop interior design documentation across phases, including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, and details.
- Experience with FF&E selection, layout, and specifications.
- Proficiency in producing renderings and presentation materials.
- Knowledge of building and life safety codes as they apply to interior design work.
- Experience participating in client meetings and construction administration activities (site visits, submittals, punch lists).
- Willingness to mentor junior interior design staff and contribute to project documentation quality.
Responsibility
- Assist Senior Interior Designer and/or Project Manager with the execution of project goals across Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration.
- Assist in the development of the design including planning and three-dimensional studies.
- Independently assist in the design development and documentation of interior spaces, producing floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, pattern designs, elevations, and details.
- Provide support to the Senior Interior Designer with furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE) selection, layout, and specifications throughout all phases.
- Produce drawings in conformance with project time, cost, and quality constraints.
- Identify, research and apply building and life safety codes to applicable interior design work.
- Prepare renderings and other presentation materials.
- Follow CannonDesign drawing standards.
- Participate in client meetings with Senior Interior Designer to gain client interaction and presentation experience.
- Participate in construction administration activities, including site visits, review of submittals and shop drawings, and conducting punch lists; site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site.
- Mentor less experienced interior design staff and provide guidance in the development of project documents.
- Actively participate and promote design quality.
- Understand proper application of materials.
- May perform other duties as required.
