Orbital is seeking a Corporate Counsel to lead legal and corporate governance initiatives that support its commercial growth across the US, Canada, and EMEA. The role involves providing legal support on various issues, including client/commercial contracting, IP, and vendor contracts, while working closely with the executive team. The ideal candidate will have a law degree, in-house experience in the technology infrastructure industry, and strong communication skills.
Qualification
- Law degree from an accredited institution and admission to a state bar or equivalent legal qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in structuring, negotiating, and closing complex technology and commercial transactions.
- Previous in-house experience in the data center or related technology infrastructure industry is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex legal concepts to diverse audiences.
- A practical, business-minded approach to legal issues.
Responsibility
- Advise company management on complex legal matters and potential risks in various areas.
- Structure, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including master service agreements and vendor contracts.
- Manage risk and ensure compliance needs are reflected in all agreements.
- Develop and implement contract procedures and templates to improve operational efficiency.
- Create and execute an intellectual property strategy to protect innovations and manage regulatory compliance.
